Meizu MX5 Hardware Specifications Leak Out

Results show up on two different benchmarking tools.

Meizu MX5 is certainly not new in the land of leaks and rumours.

Well today, someone benchmarked the smartphone with two more tools and we have the results that are in a way different from what leaks in the past revealed.

Indeed it is less about the results and more about the hardware specifications that now seem a bit different from the leaks of the past.

  • We can now confirm that the device will be announced with a 5.5 inch Full HD display panel
  • Inside, we now have a MediaTek MT6795T (also found in the HTC One M9+) 2.1 GHz octa-core chipset
  • There’s 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage that finally sees an expandable memory slot
  • The primary camera is expected to be a 20 MP unit while the front-facing unit will be a 3 MP one
  • There are the usual connectivity options, all of which are powered by a 3150 mAh battery

On the whole this is impressive hardware on paper because it does match up with the HTC One M9+ (minus that QHD display).

What also leaked out was the Geekbench score of the MX5. While the multi-core scores (5352) were on par with the Samsung Galaxy S, the single-core scores were pretty poor at 965.
