Honor Smartphones To Get Android Lollipop Update Starting From Sept 21

The smartphones will be getting Emotion UI 3.1 in the form of Android Lollipop update.

 

While Google has been teasing a lot about its upcoming Android Marshmallow operating system, many popular companies are yet to roll out Android Lollipop update to their smartphones.

One such company is Huawei with their popular smartphones like Honor 4C, Honor6, Honor 6 Plus and Honor 4X still running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system based EMUI 3.0.

However, the good news is that Huawei has finally announced that it will rolling out Android Lollipop update for its 'Honor' range of smartphones in India starting from September.

So, the smartphone will be getting Emotion UI 3.1 in the form of Android Lollipop update and the roll out dates are as follows:

  • Huawei Honor 4C – September 21st
  • Huawei Honor 6 – September 25th
  • Huawei Honor 6 Plus – September 29th
  • Huawei Honor 4X – October 20th

While we know the existing EMUI 3.0 is very much user friendly and comes with some exciting features, it is worth noting that the Android Lollipop update bring Material Design with bold, colorful and responsive UI design, better notifications, Interruptions, better security, Improved network hand offs, flexible sharing, faster, smoother and more powerful experience with ART and more new features.

However, Huawei has not yet announced about the rolling details of the Android Lollipop update for its Honor 3C and Honor Holly budget smartphones.
