HTC One Receives Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Update

The update that's being rolled out in phases is said to feature an improved HTC Sense 5.0 UI.

 

HTC One is one smartphone that has been the talk of the town ever since its launch early in April. Now, the Rs 42,900 priced smartphone comes with the Android Jelly bean 4.2 update. An Android Revolution report states that on installation of the update, users would be provided with improved HTC Sense 5 User Interface (UI), along with other enhancements that complement the standard Android 4.2.2 update features such as Google Now, Customizable widgets and enhanced lockscreen notifications.

New enhancements that are said to be provided to users after installing the new Android update would be: Battery Level indicator (indicating battery level in percentage), Daydream Mode (an essential screensaver for your smartphones), long pressing home key doubling up as Menu, along with Android EQS Equalizer controls. Apart from these enhancements, users would also be able to remove icons from the dock.

A Stock Android version of HTC One also got confirmed a couple of days ago, and is expected to start retailing in the US for a price tag of USD 600 (Approx. Rs 34K in India).
