Instagram Now Opens Platform For Advertisers In India And Other Countries

Earlier, the advertising platform was open only in USA, Canada, UK, Japan, Australia, Germany, France and Brazil.

Popular photo sharing app Instagram has extended its platform to advertisers in more than 20 countries including India from Wednesday.

Along with India, ads will now be available in countries like Italy, Spain, Mexico and South Korea to name a few.

It is worth noting that Instagram until now displayed ads only in countries like United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, Germany, France and Brazil.

However, it is said to reach more than 200 countries by September 30.

While users have been experiencing Instagram without any ads except from a few certain brands like Victoria's Secret and Old Navy, Instagram may find it a little difficult to convince them.

However, this move by Instagram may have been due to the increasing pressure it is getting from its investors about making money from its acquisitions like Instagram.

Also, unlike many other advertising platforms, Instagram may prove worthy for advertisers to reach specific audiences.

Along with this, Facebook owned Instagram is also said to have been working on more creative options for advertisers which include TV style video ads up to 30 seconds.
