Sony Xperia Z3+ Pricing Details Out; Hits Pre-Order In The UK

Sony may have a winner here.

It was just yesterday that Sony had unveiled its Xperia Z4 for global markets, tagged as the Xperia Z3+. The device according to Sony is not being marketed as the Z3’s successor, but more as the premium, high-end version of the same, with better internals and a slightly altered external appearance.

And its just a day later that the price tag has been revealed. In fact the Sony Xperia Z3+ (32 GB version) has already hit pre-order via a famous retailer in the UK and is pegged at a hefty 549 GBP, which is about Rs 52,000 in Indian monies.

Considering that the currently available Xperia Z3 is a generation older when it comes to the processor (with its Snapdragon 801) the price is fitting, because it sells for Rs 39,999 online.

Indeed, we can see that Sony has priced its smartphone shoulder to shoulder with the metal HTC One M9+ that currently sells in India for Rs 48,999 (online) and the LG G Flex 2, which is available for Rs 53,500. The Samsung siblings seems happy at the Rs 41,900 and Rs 58,900, price points for the S6 and S6 edge.

Still then, these are the prices (including VAT) for the UK. We guess things may get a bit pricey when the Xperia Z3+ arrives in India, which should happen by mid June.
