Microsoft Will Be Present At MWC; May Announce Lumia 1330

Could be anything from a cloud service, to a flagship smartphone.

Microsoft has confirmed that it will be present at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) next month after all. The software giant will make its presence felt, although it is a bit confusing as to what the company plans to unveil at the event.

As of now, it seems that the smartphone in question is the Lumia 1330, that leaked out a few months ago. The device is a mid-range one that will bring in budget specs with a big display.

While Microsoft and the Windows Phone (Windows 10) space is running short of flagships to woo in audiences (Apple has succeeded with a bigger iPhone), it seems like it would not really hurt to launch a flagship device, right about now.

This is more so because the Lumia 930 is ageing in terms of hardware. While many may tell you that its all about the software experience, Microsoft’s app gap does not seem to attract high-end buyers as of now. With older hardware, and that lack of Google’s services, it will not be attracting any Android fans as well.

Hopefully, Windows 10 will change all of this.
