Samsung Confirms GALAXY S6 And S Edge Launch At MWC 2015

Gives us a glimpse of what will be the world’s first smartphone with a bent dual edge display.

While there have been one too many leaks about HTC’s One M9 and the One M9 Plus and more recently its mid-range A55, we have yet to get our first glimpse of the GALAXY S Edge. Today Samsung has finally begun teasing us its smartphone with a bent dual-edged display that company plans to launch, next month, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The teaser simply gives us a glimpse of what is yet to come. The image shows us the curved metal frame that is pretty similar to what the Note Edge sports.

Clearly, the only difference here would be that the smartphone will show off the bent edge display on both sides.

We are pretty sure that Samsung will unveil two versions of the GALAXY S6 this year. While the standard S6 with a standard display will grab the attention of show goers thanks to its internal hardware (Exynos 7420 SoC), the S Edge will indeed be a show stopper, all thanks to its display.

Still then, it remains to be seen what Samsung can make of it since the Note Edge although unique in form factor, somehow was not worth the price tag in terms of practicality.

The event is said to take place on the 1st of March and we are pretty excited to see what other products Samsung has in store as well.
