Samsung Takes A Friendly Jab At Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus In A New Ad

This time around Samsung goes subtle, yet surprisingly smart.

While Apple fans are rejoicing that they now have a bigger displays to play around with, it is indeed time for the company that started it all to make fun of the Cupertino tech giant. The previous ads have been pretty much over the top with the usual Samsung quirkiness but the new one is very smartly done and it does get back at all those who criticised the first GALAXY Note phablet.

The Ad titled as ‘Then And Now’ seems to clearly portray the fact that Samsung was indeed the company that started the category and it did so from scratch. While reviewers blasted out that the device was indeed too big back then, Samsung showed through sales figures that there was indeed a big market for the same. As the year’s passed by Samsung kept perfecting its phablet hardware and software until at the IFA this year, where it finally unveiled two phablet options with GALAXY Note 4 and the Note Edge with metal frames.

The Korean company’s timing could not have been better as Apple announced its iPhone 6 Plus in the following week that closely resembled the 2012 Note 2 (just slimmer). Feature-wise as well, there were indeed plenty of references with many stating that the Note 4 indeed makes better use of the larger screen with the stylus, while the 6 Plus has a double touch option to drag the whole screen down for one handed use (lame or not, you decide). Who copied whom? Samsung seems to have made things pretty clear from the ad below.
