The Asha 305 comes with a resistive touchscreen and 2 mp camera, while the Asha 311 has a capacitive screen and 3.2 mp snapper.

In an effort to further capitalize on the success of its Asha series, Nokia has finally brought two of its earlier announced touch-based Series 40 handsets to India — the Nokia Asha 305 and Asha 311. Of the two, the Asha 305 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM), dual-standby feature phone with a hot-swappable SIM 2 slot. It measures 4.3" (l) x 2.1" (w) x 0. 5" (12.8 mm) (d) and tips the scales at a mere 98 grammes. The phone sports a 3" resistive touchscreen with pixel dimensions of 240x400, as well as a 2 mp fixed-focus camera. Wi-Fi connectivity is absent and so is a GPS, but it does have an online Nokia Maps app that uses your cell tower location and GPRS connection to help you navigate. Priced at an MRP of Rs 5000, the handset has been available online for Rs 4600 since mid-July. It is offered in dark grey and red variants, with mid blue and silver white options launching soon.

The Asha 311 on the other hand supports both 3G and Wi-Fi, measures 4.2" (l) x 2" (w) x 0. 5" (12.9 mm) (d), and weighs 95 grammes. Sporting a 3" capacitive touchscreen (240x400) protected with Corning Gorilla Glass, this handset also features a 3.2 mp auto-focus camera. Available in rose red, dark grey, sand white, and blue, the phone is priced at Rs 7200. Here is a list of common features in both phones:
