MediaTek-Powered Meizu m1 note Launched In India For Rs 12000

Android KitKat seems to be its only sore spot.

Meizu has finally launched its much-awaited m1 note phablet smartphone for the Indian market. Meizu fans who have waited a long time for this day to arrive can finally purchase the budget device for a low price tag of Rs 11,999.

After a number of promises, the Chinese smartphone maker has finally set foot on Indian shores.

More importantly, they could not have showed up with a better handset to start off with, as the Meizu m1 note will certainly tick a lot of checkboxes for Indian smartphone users who are looking for a quality smartphone at a low price.

While the m1 note does remind us of the iPhone 5c, its not the same thing (this one is indeed priced a lot lower) and comes with the flexible and refreshing, Flyme OS. Sadly, the base of the Flyme skin still remains at Android KitKat 4.4.4, which may be a deal breaker for some.

Still then, Xiaomi Mi 4i has recently moved up to Android 5.0 Lollipop (out of the box) and both smartphones comes with well-polished UIs that will make owners forget about what version of Android they are running underneath.

As for the hardware specifications of the Meizu m1 note, they are as follows:

  • We get a 5.5 inch IGZO display of 1080p resolution
  • Inside there is a 1.7GHz, MediaTek MT6752 SoC with 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory
  • There is a 13 MP Samsung camera on the back and a 5 MP sensor up front for selfies
  • As for the connectivity options, you get plenty with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Supports dual-band , both 2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 and the usual FDD-LTE / WCDMA / GSM radios
  • There are two SIM slots available and the handset is powered by a large 3140 mAh battery but weighs just 149 gms

The Meizu m1 note will come in just two colours, blue and white and will be exclusively available on Amazon.in at 2 PM today (no registrations required).
