Asus Hints About Its New Fitness Focused VivoWatch

The new smartwatch comes with a whopping 10 day battery life.

Popular Taiwan based computer and electronics company ASUS has come up with yet another smartwatch after it's first attempt with the Zen Watch last year.

The new smartwatch which was revealed by the company on Monday is a fitness focused one dubbed as the Asus VivoWatch.

However, we have not yet been revealed about its price, specifications or the launch date.

But, what we know is that the watch has a tough stainless steel body, an IP 67 certification rating against dust and water, heart-rate monitoring and sleep tracking.

Above all, it is being said that the smartwatch comes with a 10 day battery life similar to what the company's Chairman Jonney Shih had teased about recently.

The 10 day battery life of the VivoWatch is something really unique and this is what that makes it different from other smartwatches whose batteries dry out within just two days.

However, there are news surfacing that users will not be able to experience the regular Android Wear on this device. This means that the company might not have Android OS in store with this VivoWatch.

Even though the extended battery life of the Asus VivoWatch makes it stand unique compared to other Android wears out there, the likely competitors are Fitbit Surge, Pebble Time, Basis Peak and Garmin Vivoactive.

However, everything now depends upon how much the VivoWatch will cost. We just have to wait and watch.
