Motorola’s Beastly Moto Turbo Launched For Rs 42000

Somehow makes for a better deal than the Google Nexus 6.

Motorola has finally launched the much-awaited Moto Turbo (Droid Turbo for the US) for the Indian market.

The smartphone is a premium device that comes with top-of-the-line hardware and the software chops to truly make it the brawniest Android smartphone till date.

Clearly the Motorola-made Nexus 6 will have a hard time keeping up in the specs game simply because the handset comes with better construction and a battery life that will put every other Android smartphone (available) to shame.

The outside consists of a metalized glass fibre back for a durable, glossy finish, while its water-repellent nanocoating protects its from water splashes. That aside, it is the hardware bits of this smartphone that indeed make it worth the asking price.

  • We get a 5.2 inch QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) AMOLED display delivering a jaw-dropping 565 ppi
  • Inside we get treated to an updated Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC coupled with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory
  • In the camera department we get a huge 21 MP sensor (with 2 LED flash units) on the back along with a 2 MP unit up front
  • The handset supports 3G and LTE (Cat 4) bands and also includes Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) and NFC
  • Lastly we get a 3900 mAh battery that should easily get you more than a day of use

Considering that the LG G Flex 2 has yet to arrive in the Indian market (expected this month), this will indeed be the device that trumps the Nexus 6 with a similar software experience. This includes the Android 5.0 Lollipop software that is available with this smartphone.

So if you cannot wait for the Snapdragon 810 invasion, we indeed suggest that you give the Moto Turbo a look before going in for anything else in the Android space.

The handset can now be pre-ordered in Nylon Black from Flipkart for Rs 41,999.
