Octa-Core, iberry Auxus Aura A1 Launched For Rs 9990

Will definitely bring some competition to the local smartphone market.

 

There is no shortage of octa-core smartphones in India these days. With quad-core Android-powered smartphones beginning from the Rs 6500, it indeed makes little sense for spec-conscious Android fans to settle for anything less at a higher price. Just recently Micromax had announced its octa-core monster the Canvas Nitro A310 which now retails for Rs 11299. Well iberry is not shy either, as the smartphone maker has today announced its octa-core offering in the form of the Auxus Aura A1.

With an introductory offer price of Rs. 9990, those who are after specs will clearly be looking at the Aura A1. It offers a MediaTek octa-core MT6592 processor and comes with a premium design that includes a solid metallic alloy rim.

As for the rest of the hardware specs, they are as follows:

  • We get a 5 inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS OGS (One Glass Solution) display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass protection
  • A 1.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory (expandable up to 64 GB)
  • There is a 13 MP primary camera with an LED flash on the back and capable 8 MP sensor up front
  • We get the usual dual SIM functionality and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n along with Bluetooth 4.0
  • Lastly we also get a large 2800 mAh battery that should easily get you through a day of use considering the octa-core chipset inside

Apart from the RAM (2 GB on the Nitro) which is acceptable, the Aura A1 includes a bigger battery as well. The iberry Auxus Aura A1 comes in black and will be available exclusively on ebay.in for Rs 9990 for a limited time only. The price is expected to jump up to Rs 12,990 post the 18th of October.
