Leaked: Samsung Embraces New Design For GALAXY Note 4

Crystal clear images give us our first glimpse of Samsung’s upcoming flagship phablet.

Since interest in the Samsung GALAXY Alpha has now died out, its time for the next best thing from Samsung, the GALAXY Note 4 to take the stage. GSMArena got its hands on the first images of the upcoming flagship and while it looks pretty much different from the current crop of Samsung smartphones, we did expect a something wackier from Samsung (a 3 -sided display may be).

Still then the GALAXY Note 4’s design clearly does not disappoint. Samsung fans must be drooling all over their keyboards by now while reading this and they should be, because metal has finally made its way onto Samsung’s smartphones. Also it seems to be functional, like in the form of antenna and radios for the Wi-Fi and 3G bands. What did remain behind is the faux leather back, but it looks a lot better than the dimpled mess on the current range of GALAXY devices. The metal rim looks really good and finally adds that touch of polish and much-needed class to the Note range of devices. Of course there will be the removable battery, which is why we have the faux leather back.

Also present is the heart rate monitor (integrated with the flash module), the S Pen and the physical home button. What is not known is whether Samsung will be including the pixel-dense, one of a kind, Super AMOLED Quad HD display with the device. At the rumoured 5.7 inch screen size, we cannot think of a better place to see a Quad HD display than on the Note 4; simply because at 5.7 inches Full HD will simply not cut it.

As for the display, the front panel of the Samsung GALAXY Note 4 also leaked sometime back, meaning that we could be seeing some more leaks until the Note 4 is eventually announced on the 3rd of September.
