Apple To Announce The iPhone 6 On September 9

The new rumour is supposedly supported by various sources and this may be the actual date.

Yes, Apple will in all probability announce the iPhone 6 on the 9th of September this year. After all the previously rumoured dates, this one is indeed a bit credible as the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg News also agree with the same.

One of the first speculations for the launch of the iPhone 6 came from operator Deutsche Telekom that actually let out the information to its customers in an effort to retain them. The date mentioned by Deutsche Telekom was the 19th of September which was a bit a head of the usual iPhone release cycle but could also refer to the date of availability after the announcement.

Of course all of this is good news for Samsung as the company has decided to announce its flagship of the year -- the GALAXY Note 4 -- a week before, at the IFA Berlin (and in two other countries). Clearly it is all about what you bring to the table and not when you bring it, when it comes to smartphones.

With the iPhone 6 seeing a major revamp with a bigger screen, we expect Samsung to put up a show as well, as the Korean smartphone maker has been putting in all its got, for the Note 4. From 3-sided displays to ultrasonic touchless input, we have no clue what Samsung has in store for us this year. More so because the GALAXY Note 4 unlike the iPhone 6 seems to be kept a complete secret with no leaks so far.
