Samsung GALAXY Alpha To Make Its Debut On August 4

Samsung’s first metal-clad Android smartphone is not here to break the rules, but to set some new ones.

Samsung fans have been waiting with baited breath for a smartphone built by the Korean electronics giant that will sport a premium metal construction. If the rumours are true, their dreams may finally come true in the form of the much-rumoured GALAXY Alpha smartphone which according to the latest news is all geared up for a launch on the 4th of August.

Sammobile now points out that the launch of the handset may happen as early as the first week of the coming month, precisely the 4th of August. The reason for the abruptly quick announcement may be to give the GALAXY Alpha its share of the limelight, before the upcoming Note 4 steps on to the stage and steals the show. Indeed Samsung has been working very hard on the Note 4 to make the product a game changer in many ways.

As for the GALAXY Alpha, its premium looks come in the form a metal chassis, unlike the fake one found on the GALAXY S5, but still retains the dimpled back cover keeping with Samsung’s ‘Modern Glam’ design philosophy. Along with its 720p display and fingerprint scanner, Samsung clearly indicates that this phone is simply here to prove that the company can build a phone out of metal rather than being a game-changer in terms of hardware specifications.
