Budget Smartphone HTC Desire 310 Lands In India

Offers quad-core processing and full HD recording at budget price.

Seems like in the midst of all the M8 business, HTC was working on its mid-range and budget handsets. After the Desire 610 and 816, the company has finally launched the Desire 310. The budget dual-SIM handset has been priced at Rs 11,700. The phone brings some impressive hardware to the budget range. There is a 4.5-inch 480 x 854 pixel IPS display up front, along with a 0.3 MP camera for basic video calls. Inside, is a powerful 1.3 GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor coupled with 512 MB of RAM. Also included is 4 GB of internal storage with the microSD card slot.

What’s impressive is that the 5 megapixel camera at the back is capable of recording Full HD video. Something that is not common among phone in the budget range. A 2000 mAh battery should do good with the paired processor and 4.5 inch screen; giving it sufficient juice to last a day on normal use. Running on Android Jelly Bean 4.2 the phone also supports BlinkFeed with its paltry 512 MB of RAM which is quite an achievement.

Faisal Siddiqui, Country Head of HTC, stated, “Everybody today wants a smartphone that can keep up with them, regardless of whether it is a flagship or entry-level model” and says that “The latest addition to our renowned Desire range combines super-fast processing and premium features at a lower price, offering users the best possible experience in this category.”

The dual SIM phone comes in Blue, White and Red colours and is up for grabs online. With the Rs 11,700 price tag, the HTC Desire 310 shouldn't have a problem finding customers. Nokia Lumia 520's success has proved that the consumers still care about built quality and user experience, which have been HTC's strong points as well.
