Nokia Sends Out Invites For The 2nd Of April, Will Unveil #moreLumia

Nokia will take to the stand in the evening while Microsoft starts off early morning with its Build 2014.

Microsoft had announced earlier this year, that its Build 2014 conference will be taking off on the 2nd of April and will go on till the 8th. Since Nokia did not unveil anything shocking at the MWC in Barcelona, we kind of figured out that Microsoft would finally demo new Windows Phones after unveiling Windows Phone 8.1 at Build 2014.

However Nokia wants its share of the limelight as well and it has set an event at the same venue but at a later time. With a hashtag that says ‘#moreLumia’, it clearly indicates that we will see a couple of device launches out there.

One of the devices that has been churning in the rumour mill for long is the Lumia 630 aka ‘Moneypenny’. This will be more of a mid-range device and will obviously be one of the first mid-range devices to support Windows Phone 8.1.

Next up is the successor to the Lumia 920, the Lumia 930 aka ‘Martini’. This will be similar to the Nokia Lumia Icon which was launched on Verizon in the USA a few months back. Expect to see the same hardware with new software (8.1) and a refreshed design. Let’s hope that this time around, Nokia sticks to the ‘fabula’ design philosophy as the Icon did not see too many takers. Moreover, we hope that Nokia does not hold back when it comes to hardware and imaging capabilities, as the Nokia Lumia 1020 is getting a bit old.
