Nokia Lumia 620 Finally Gets The Black Update

A well-built device finally gets a well-deserved update.

We all loved the Nokia 620 back in the days when the Lumia 920 reigned supreme in the Windows Phone space. We didn't hear much about this handset since the Lumia 520 took the market by storm. The phone sports a snappy 1 GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor with 512 MB of RAM and 800x480 screen which was mighty sharp considering that it was just 3.8-incher. The main reason why most people didn’t go in for it was the relatively lower 512 MB RAM, which wasn't compatible with new games and apps.

However, finally today Nokia rolled out the Black Update for the Lumia 620. The GDR3 + Lumia Black combo update brings in a host of new features and improvements to the device, including Bluetooth 4.0 LE support, app switcher with the ability to close apps, and the rotation lock (if you needed one). Nokia’s new Drive Mode and Storyteller is also a part of the many goodies one can expect from the update. Although owners will not get Nokia Refocus and Nokia Beamer due to the 512 MB RAM hardware limit.
