Why Is Nokia Going Green?

Are the Finnish company's Facebook pages pointing us to its first Android release?

The Nokia X or Normandy has been the hottest rumour since the time the very first images of the handset leaked. We all thought that it could an addition to the Asha range, but from what we have so far, evidence points to all things green.
The Facebook images on Nokia India and Nokia (Global) have changed from the well-known Nokia (and Microsoft) Blue to a lighter shade of Green.

Well, it’s not the lime green colour which dominates the thousands of little android robots spread across the web (or your desk), but it’s a more subtle green which somehow reminds us of the invitation that Nokia sent us a while ago. There could be an eco-friendly handset under the covers or it could be Nokia’s Google-free version of Android (like the Kindle Fire). Everyone is expecting the Nokia X to be released at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week. This should be a treat for Android fans considering that this could be the beginning of what would lay the foundations for Nokia hardware merged with goodness of Android.

Whatever is in the works, it better not disappoint the hard-core Windows Phone fan base which is technically the bread and butter for the struggling company right now.
