Nokia Rolling Out Software Update For The Lumia 1520

It's said to bring general performance improvements and bug fixes.

Nokia unveiled the Lumia 1520 amidst great fanfare. It was their best shot at Apple and Samsung — the phone had the best company could offer in terms of hardware and software. Snapdragon 800 chipset with 2 GB of RAM and mind-blowing 6-inch IPS LCD screen.

With such an awesome spec sheet, there are very few areas in which the phone disappoints. One would be the size, as we pointed out earlier and secondly that it does not possess the shutter of the 1020 to give us those crisp images that we expected from a PureView Camera. Still then this was only in comparison to it elder brother the 1020. As compared to the rest of the crop of phablets out there, it’s the best.

But as most of us would not know, there are couple of software problems that users have discovered over time. Some of them include a screen sensitivity issue, phone freezes and a speaker overdrive problem, which appears once the handset’s volume has been cranked above 15.
Let’s hope the new update that has begun rolling out in Poland solves these problems. If you aren’t facing any of the above mentioned issues, we would still suggest you go ahead and update your device.

The update is supposed to bring in performance improvements and minor improvements to video recording quality as well.
