Twitter Celebrates 2013; The Year That Was In Tweets

An interesting compilation of how the world changed, all in 140 characters or less.

For a service that sees 500 million tweets daily on an average from its 230 million users, there is nothing that escapes the sharp eyes of Twitter. As we ring out 2013, like Facebook, Twitter is ready with its take on the year that was as well. And it seems to be getting more creative with each passing year.

The site has put up not just month-by-month summary of what happened on its service, but also has special sections for news, entertainment, sports, and showcase. While it didn’t pay any special homage to its #music service, or Vine video service, the highlight video (linked here) does make a passing mention. Quite an interesting way to sum up the year that was, from royal babies, to bidding Sachin farewell, the year went through a lot. Check it out here.
