Apple Likely To Unveil The New iPad On 22nd October

The company may also launch its first smartwatch.

 

Apple has started sending out press invites for its 22nd Oct event. Since the iPhones are already out, the focus of this event will probably be the next-generation iPad. So if you're planning to buy a slate, better wait for a week and see what Apple has in store for you. It's likely that Apple will also refresh its MacBook Pro line-up. Although there's a very slim chance, we can't rule out the possibility of the Apple TV and perhaps even a smartwatch.

In all probability, Apple won't experiment with its tablet's screen size. So the new iPad will have a 9.7-inch screen, while the iPad mini will settle for a 7.8-inch display. The processor will be bumped up to the latest A7 chip. Touch ID fingerprint sensor might be added to the 9.7-incher. It will be interesting to see, if the Cupertino company will bring the iPhone 5c like colours to its tablet line-up.

 Nokia too is expected to showcase at least six new devices on the same day in Abu Dhabi, so 22nd October is going to be one hell of a day for tech enthusiasts.
