The new iPad has been available unofficially for a while now, via Tradus.in. Although it was good for those who couldn't wait to get their hands on Apple's latest tablet, it made sense to wait for the official launch and buy such an expensive product with warranty. Now, the wait seems all worth the time, as the Cupertino-based company has launched the new iPad at a lesser price than the unofficial sources in India.

TechTree.tv: New iPad Gets Shot - Literally!

An Apple fan has posted a video of him shooting the new iPad to show how durable, or rather how vulnerable the latest gadget is when confronted with high-powered rifles. The new video put up by Richard Ryan also known as RatedRR, is fast becoming viral hit on YouTube ever since it was launched a couple of days ago. The video shows Ryan shooting at the poor, helpless device restrained on a wooden stand, using different guns, including a Tech Assassin HK53 assault rifle. Probably the only saving grace was that the screen does not entirely shatter after the first round of barrage. With a hint of disappointment Ryan said, "It didn't do as much as I'd hoped to it". Not the one to be bogged down by such initial "failures", he then switched to higher gear with the M4 to blast a large hole right through the centre of the tablet, which seemed to work much to his satisfaction. This is a part of a series of videos, showing the destruction of other gadgets such as the iPhone, Xbox 360, and iPad 2 in similar fashion. Without further ado, here is the video:
