Oppomart Reveals The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2's Specifications

The "phablet" may sport a 5.7" screen and $250 price tag.


The Xiaomi Redmi Note has been quite a success. Needless to say, the fans have been waiting for its successor. Considering the listing from the online retailer Oppomart, the Redmi Note 2 seems to be just around the corner.

Based on the listing, Xiaomi's Note 2 will feature a 5.7-inch Full HD display. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core Processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. RAM will be 2 GB and the phone will come in 16 and 32 GB variants. The dual-SIM phone will be 4G LTE compatible.

In the photography department, you get a 13 megapixels camera. Xiaomi will be using Sony's IMX214 sensor. it will pack-in 3600 mAh battery. On the software front, you will get MIUI running on top of Android 4.4.

Xiaomi is holding a press event on 13th of August in China. At the event, the company will unveil its very own Android skin MIUI 7. Rumour has it that Xiaomi may also announce the Redmi Note 2 along with the new software. According to oppomart, the Redmi Note 2 will be pegged at $250, which roughly translates to around Rs 16,000.
