OnePlus Opens 9 New Service Centres In India

It looks like OnePlus is certainly making sioncere efforts to estabish a strong after-sales presence in the country.

With Xiaomi's success in India, many Chinese smartphone companies including Startups like OnePlus started entering the fiercely competitive smartphone market. However, while we have been witnessing the products so far so good, what fears us is the after sales service.

Apparently, to bring improvements in this sector, OnePlus has recently announced that it has opened 9 new service centres in India ahead of the launch of the OnePlus 2 smartphone which is set to happen on July 28th in Delhi just after the global VR event at 7.30 AM IST on the same day. This comes in as a positive note as to how serious the company is about its customers in the country.

The new service centres located in Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai (Andheri and Lamington), New Delhi and Kolkata are said to have been established in an exclusive partnership with Regenersis (previously known as Digicomp Complete Solutions Limited), which will be providing the advanced repairs for OnePlus devices in the country. This will also including parts, micro components and logistics services.

In case if you didn't know, Regenersis is a global provider of diagnostics and repair services for the new service centres.

Along with this, the company has also announced that all service related issues on their smartphones pending for more than 15 working days at service centres will automatically get a 3 months extended warranty in India, which is also said to applicable for the upcoming OnePlus Two.

Though it will be a long time before the new companies can establish an after-sales presence like Samsung, Sony or LG, they sure seem to be making sincere efforts in that direction.

PS: OnePlus has 45 services centres in India, according to its website.
