Vivo V1 And Vivo V1 Max Announced In India

Offers mid-range hardware with decent pricing in a premium package.

 

Chinese smartphone maker, Vivo has announced two new handsets for the Indian market.

The Vivo V1 and the V1 Max will be heading to India soon and will fit in the mid-segment, offering decent specs in a premium package.

Vivo with its new V series of handsets aims to provide cutting edge technologies like exclusive music features along with good quality imaging to the mid-range. All of this, is packaged in a metal, glass and plastic construction that comes with a premium look and feel.

As for the hardware of the Vivo V1:

  • We get a 5 inch (720 x 1280 pixels) HD display
  • Inside, there is a tried and tested, 64-bit, Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 CPU with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128 GB
  • The camera department consists of 13 MP sensor for the primary camera and 5 MP sensor for the front facing one that also includes a 6P lenses with an f/2.0 aperture
  • Connectivity options include the regular stuff with 4G LTE bands, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
  • The battery sees an upgrade to 2300 mAh over the original X5 Max

The handset runs Android 5.0 Lollipop that seems submerged below the company’s custom Funtouch 2.1 UI.

As for the Vivo V1 Max, the company has not let out any details, but expect it to show up with similar hardware inside, and a bigger, pixel dense display.

The Vivo V1 will be available in silver and gold when it arrives in stores later this month. As for the pricing, it has not been confirmed as well. Vivo states that the V1 will be priced between Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000.
