Micromax Canvas A1 Re-launched At Rs 6,039.

The smartphone comes with 8 GB of internal space and runs on Andorid Lollipop out-of-the-box.

India's very own mobile maker Micromax has recently re-launching its popular Canvas A1 smartphone.

Though the re-launch has been pretty silent, it does come with twice the internal memory than it was earlier.

It is also worth noting that the Micromax Canvas A1 was first launched as part of the Google's Android One concept where in it was promised that the smartphones would be the first ones to receive the official updates from the tech giant.

While the Canvas A1 was priced at Rs 6,499 earlier, the re-release seems to have shed a little over the top.

Now, the smartphone has been listed on the company website and also available on third party e-commerce websites at Rs 6,039.

However, apart from 8 GB internal memory instead of the original 4 GB, there seems to be other important differences between the two versions.

While the earlier version of the Canvas A1 (AQ4501) still ships with Android 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box, the latest version (AQ4502) runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Yet, it is worth noting that the earlier version receives an Android 5.1 Lollipop update via OTA.

Speaking about other specifications, the smartphone comes with a 4.5 inch IPS FWVGA display, 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 1 GB of RAM, 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and 2 MP front camera along with WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G and a 1700 mAh battery.
