Yu Yuphoria To Launch On May 12

This is the second cyanogen based smartphone by the company which will be running on Cyanogen 12 OS.

 

Micromax's subsidiary Yu is all set to launch its second Cyanogen based smartphone on May 12, according to a recent tweet by the company.

A few weeks ago, the company had also carried out a naming campaign called "#YUNameIt" via its social platform asking people to suggest the name for its next phone. The company has revealed that the name Yuphoria received over 1,00,000 entries.

However, there still seems to be no clue about the smartphone's price and other details. Yet, we have been revealed that the Yuphoria smartphone will be sporting an AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass and the device would be running on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Talking about the Cyanogen operating system, it is known for delivering rich software advancements that optimise performance, customisation, security and privacy features on mobile devices.

It is also worth noting that the same device was recently being teased under the label Project Caesar.

The Yuphoria will be featuring Cyanogen 12 OS based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
