Karbonn Platinum P9 with 6-Inch Display Launched In India

The device priced at Rs.8,899 sports 8MP rear and front-facing cameras.

 

Domestic mobile maker Karbonn is all set to introduce a new member of its 'Platinum' smartphone series, dubbed as the Platinum P9.

The phone is priced at Rs.8,899 on Snapdeal and yet to be listed on the company's official website.

It looks like, Karbonn has come up with this mobile phone so that it can counter Xiaomi and Micromax in budget phone market.

The phone comes with features like 6-inch qHD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor couple with 1GB of RAM, the mobile phone runs of Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

The device sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and also comes with an equal 8MP front-facing camera.

To remind you, Micromax had recently launched a 13MP front-facing camera smartphone named Micromax Canvas Selfie at Rs.15,999.

Karbonn Platinum P9 offers 3G and 2500mAh battery. The handset is available in Black color for now.

We believe that the Platinum P9 might face competition directly with Huawei Ascend GX1 and Micromax Canvas Selfie.

While the Platinum P9 is having a great camera, the GX1 comes with a larger battery and the Micromax Canvas Selfie is a bit pricey but with outstanding camera.

However, we just have to wait and watch as to actually know how the device plays in the mobile market.
