YU Yureka's Android Lollipop Update Is Coming Soon

Will add more value to a brilliantly built handset.

 

Micromax and Cyanogen’s YU brand has begun teasing its Android faithful about its upcoming Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

The image that was posted on its social media channel, mentions “coming soon” indicating that the update is in all probability, ready to be seeded from its servers in a week’s time.

The firmware update that comprises of a Cyanogen-made CM12 software bits inside, will deliver a plethora of new options and features to an already great smartphone, the YU Yureka.

Cyanogen with its YU brand indeed seems to be keeping up with its software updates (they should, they have just one handset to cater to... officially). And while it may bring in a host of new features, it will also attract a lot more customers.

YU Yureka owners can expect the usual software updates that come from Google (lock screen notifications, new recents menu etc.), but it is indeed the interesting CyanogenMod bits (special features) that everyone wants.

While Xiaomi owners are indeed left to deal with Android KitKat (officially at least) Micromax seems to be playing it smart and delivering a well-built handset at the right price along with the latest software.

Indeed goes to show that when the arena gets competitive, it is the customer that benefits the most.
