Rumour: Sony To Sell Both, QHD And FHD Versions Of The Xperia Z4

While the smartphone has been a subject of leaks for long, the news about two variants in indeed interesting.

The upcoming Sony Xperia Z4 has been in the rumour mill for quite some time now. While the smartphone seems to have been leaked thanks to Sony Pictures, we are still pretty much unsure about whether Sony will retain the design of the Xperia Z3 with the Z4. What is another topic of discussion is the internal hardware. And today’s new rumour focuses on nothing but the display.

The company is rumoured to unveil two display options with its Xperia Z4 range. A premium model that comes with a Quad HD (2560 x 1440) resolution and another with a Full HD (1920 X 1020) resolution.

The unnamed source also mentions that Sony will allot the premium Quad HD variant of the smartphone for the US market only, while the rest of the world will be left with the Full HD verison (which seems a bit strange).

Seems like Sony will be announcing two variants of the Xperia Z4 after all and walk along the path chosen by Samsung, with its recently launched GALAXY Note series. While Samsung plans on doing the same again by launching its GALAXY S6 with two display options, seems like every one else is jumping on the band wagon as well.

Along with the 5.2 inch QHD screen the rumours so far have predicted a Snapdragon 810 processor inside accompanied by 4 GB of RAM (more is always better right?) and Cat 6 LTE connectivity.
