Samsung Announces Its GALAXY Note Edge In India For Rs 64900

Those who have been waiting for the smartphone can finally get their hands on one in January 2015.

Samsung has finally announced its most innovative phablet yet, the GALAXY Note Edge in India. The device that comes with a few pros and some added cons compared to the standard Note 4 will begin retailing in India at a price tag of Rs 64,900 and considering the demand for bigger smartphones in India, will in all probability find buyers as well.

Like always Samsung has found its following in India for its Note range of devices, and while the Note 4 is selling well in the Android camp, its only competitor when it comes to size and price is the iPhone 6 Plus. So Samsung indeed takes things up a notch with the Note Edge by delivering a curved display that bends on one edge. While this may sound a bit impractical to some, there is a smaller battery inside as well thanks to the same feature.

We aren’t big fans of the Samsung’s TouchWiz but what we clearly love about Samsung are its Super AMOLED displays and the Note Edge packs in a cooler one than the Note 4, keeping in mind its curved edge. While this is a technical achievement you do have to keep in mind that the device will be available in limited quantities, meaning that if you want one, you will have to find a retailer that stocks it as not every retailer will be selling it.

The handset is pegged to go on sale in the first week of January 2015 and will in all probability sell at a higher MRP of Rs 68500.
