HTC’s Sense 7 Screenshots Leak With A Hint Of Material Design

The smartphone manufacturer seems to be working round the clock to deliver Android Lollipop.

Like every smartphone maker out there, HTC too has been working on its initial builds in order to make the final rollout of the Android Lollipop update for its smartphones easier.

Today, we have some leaked screenshots of what is the Sense 7 UX that HTC has been working on. While the screenshots do look fresh and flat they seem to follow the theme that the stock Nexus ROMs show, this is clearly not the final build as Google has yet to roll out the final version of Android Lollipop for its devices.

HTC had promised that it will be delivering its Android Lollipop update somewhere in the month of February in 2015. The screenshots show a theme that is similar to the stock Nexus settings menu that we have seen on the recent unofficial Nexus 5 Lollipop builds and the Nexus 6. There are subtle shadows with a card-like layout and the colour of the header text seems to have changed to teal green.

But again we do have to keep in mind that this is HTC and like every other update that the manufacturer has rolled out in the past, the Sense UI update may not necessarily come with Android Lollipop. This means that HTC could update the Android version first in a separate update and then follow up with something similar to what we have above with a Sense 7 layer.
