The device’s design sports a striking similarity with the unannounced Sony Xperia Z3 Compact.

The last time we heard from Meizu was when we heard about those shocking benchmark figures that were indeed unbelievable for a 32-bit powered smartphone. Apparently, the handset that broke the record for benchmarks was indeed the mid-range model of the MX4 (pictured on the left) as can be seen from the mid-range MediaTek octa-core chipset that powered it. Now a leaker has finally managed to deliver images of the top-of-the-line Pro version of the MX4 that somehow sports a metal frame that looks similar to the rumoured Xperia Z3 Compact.

Reports suggest that the handset sports a large 5.4 inch quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixel) display that will be powered by Android KitKat running below the proprietary Flyme OS. What is also noticeable from the images is the home button which is said to house a fingerprint reader as well.

As you may have already noticed the design of the handset looks a lot more premium compared to the MX4 seen in the earlier benchmarks, but certainly looks familiar to the Xperia Z3 Compact’s rumoured, rounded metal frame. Also included are hints of the upcoming iPhone with rounded speaker holes at the bottom. We indeed cannot wait to see what performance figures the above showcased Pro version of the MX4 will bring, till then we can simply drool over its mid-range counterpart which may never end up in India.
