LG G3 To Come With A Fingerprint Resistant Back With A Brushed Metal-Like Finish

Does not mean that the handset’s body will be constructed out of metal.

Leaked images of what may be the LG G3 have shown up online which show that the body of the flagship device may come with a metal-like finish. The leaker, @EvLeaks who has been responsible for some pretty credible leaks in the past, put up images on a social network mentioning that the LG G3 will no more be a fingerprint magnet. This he did hinting at the predecessor, the LG G2 which was prone to fingerprints and smudges thanks to its polished plastic body.

The device according to the leakster, is said to come in a brushed metal finish and will be fingerprint resistant. LG as we all know is known for experimenting with different materials for construction in the past (LG G Flex). But this time around, the Korean company seems to have pulled off something sensible.

The image clearly looks like the device is constructed out of metal, which may not actually be the case. We say this, in reference to the leaked image of the flagship handset that clearly showed its polycarbonate finish the last time around. The second image shown below, clearly tells us that the LG G3 does not sport a unibody design afterall. As one can see, the image shows the back panel opened up with the battery and micro SIM card slot in clear view.

The global launch of the LG G3 will happen later this month on the 27th of May. From what we can gather, the device is stated to come with a 5.5 inch QHD (2560 x 1440 pixel) display nestled into small frame with ultra-thin bezels. The handset is rumoured to be powered by a Snapdragon 801 SoC along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. Powering the optically stabilised lens and the rest of the internals will be a hefty 3000mAh battery unit. Moreover, there could be also be two versions of the device with the only difference being the pixel density of the display and the RAM size to go with it.
