LG’s G3 Makes Its First Unofficial Appearance; Shows Us Its Flattened Power Key

Leaked image sports a design that compliments the flat UI that had leaked some time back.

‘Flat’ seems to be the buzz word for LG these days. The LG G3’s UI images had leaked sometime back which showed a flatter UI with a more sober colour theme. Now GSM Arena reports a leaked image of the LG G3 which also shows flattened power and volume controls which could mean that the phone itself may have also gotten a lot flatter than its predecessor.

The power/lock and volume control keys have now been flattened and they now appear to sit flat in line with rest of the device’s back panel. From the photo we also notice something new alongside the camera module. The extra sensor (black dot on the left) could either be an IR blaster or even a heart rate monitor (considering that Samsung has already included one) or even a system that helps the camera focus quicker.

The notes below the handset show that the phone will indeed come in two memory capacities — 16 and 32 GB. What is also scribbled there is the amount of RAM which could be 2 GB or 3 GB which indicates that LG may be releasing two variants of the device. The 2 GB of RAM could be used for the Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) version while the 3 GB of RAM could be reserved for the QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) one.

Let’s hope that LG launches their flagship soon as they already have to play catch up with Samsung and HTC with Sony all geared up for an early May launch as well.
