Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch Set For September Release

Is it just another invention, or actually something worthwhile?

After many rumours and speculations, Samsung will be launching its Smartwatch on 4th September. This time Samsung actually has given it a decent name — "GALAXY Gear", which sounds much better than Samsung GALAXY Folder (foldable) flip phone. The Android-based Smartwatch does not feature a bendable screen, but will be capable of making phone calls, checking emails, and browsing the net.

Here are few of the names that we believed Samsung was thinking of:
Samsung Galaxy Watchy
Samsung Galaxy Clocky
Samsung Galaxy Blocky
Samsung Galaxy Slap On

Samsung is going to show it off at a media event on 4th September and to the world in Berlin on 6th September. Also to be released then, is Samsung's latest phablet (Phone + Tablet), the Note III. Samsung obviously wants to beat Apple, who's also planning to release their iWatch on 10th Sept, at the Berlin event as well.

While we are happy that companies are trying new things, we can't help but feel that Samsung is just starting off. You may soon get to see a Samsung Grand Gear with a large screen to take notes, or a Samsung Mega Gear with an even larger screen; don't ask us what for. And lastly, we certainly cannot rule out the Samsung Galaxy Gear Mini (an underclocked-overpriced version).
