ASUS Fonepad 32 GB Now Available For Rs 18,000

Unveiled at MWC 2013, the Android slate supports voice-calling.

 

The 32 GB variant of the ASUS Fonepad 7" tablet is now available for purchase online. The latest variant has been priced at Rs 18,000 on Flipkart.com. It comes with a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 single-core processor that supports Hyper-Threading and runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It also supports voice-calling, but holding a 7-inch device across your face may not be very comfortable.

The earlier iteration of the ASUS Fonepad had a 1.2 GHz Intel processor, 8 GB of internal storage, and a price tag of Rs 16,000. With the faster processor and additional internal storage, the new Fonepad seems like a better buy for just 2K more. As of now, the Intel Atom Z2460 CPU is also found in devices such as the XOLO X910, and the much-older XOLO X900. The key technical specifications of the ASUS Fonepad 32GB variant:

The ASUS Fonepad is also expected to get the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update in the near future.
