Google Rumoured To Be Working On Android Gaming Unit

A smartwatch and a new Nexus device are said to be in the works as well.

Google is said to be in the process of bringing out its own customised Android gaming console, a Wall Street Journal report states. Apart from the Android gaming unit, people can expect an Android-powered wristwatch as well.

The Wall Street Journal also adds that these new devices will be designed and marketed exclusively by Google itself. Google's Android gaming console has every possibility of becoming a roaring success, since the platform runs majority of mobile devices, and also Android games are constantly growing (both in numbers and popularity), thanks to Google Play.

Google is also rumoured to be bringing back its Nexus Q media player. The Nexus Q had been launched in 2012, but didn't make it to the retail market. The company also said to be developing its own smartwatch, so the competition between brands such as Samsung, Apple, and Sony will also intensify.

Google has already entered the products market with Google Glass, and has partnered with LG and Asus for its Nexus range of smartphones and tablets. Plus, the Motorola X smartphone is expected to ship with the upcoming version of Android (Key Lime Pie) soon too.
