Rumour: Pictures Of The Upcoming Nokia Lumia EOS Leaked Online

Could be the first Windows Phone device with 41 megapixel PureView camera.

It's no secret that Nokia is working hard to bring its 41 megapixel camera tech on Windows Phone platform. When the company slashed the price of the current camera flagship 808 PureView, it was an indication that the company is inching towards achieving that feat. And if the guys behind the Twitter handle @vizileaks are to be believed, this is probably what the upcoming handset (codenamed EOS) will look like.

As you can see from the image, the handset features the same polycarbonate unibody as seen on the Lumia 920. It's the big camera sensor hump that makes all the difference though. As you'd expect from a Nokia camera phone, the optics are made by Carl Zeiss. On close inspection, you can see that the lens assembly sports a Xenon flash along with an LED module. Near the PureView branding you can see the text that reads XX megapixels. This could probably mean that the device in question a prototype, and the final product will be much more refined.

The Nokia 808 Pureview till date, boasts of arguably the best camera ever seen on a mobile phone. And Nokia is striving hard to repurpose that premium technology in their flagship Lumia smartphone series. If the images are to be believed, that might become a reality shortly.
