BenQ Launches Gaming Monitor XL2420TX With 3D Glasses For Rs 31,000

Compatible with NVIDIA 3D Vision 2; has 120 Hz refresh rate.

The XL2420TX, BenQ's flagship gaming monitor for professional and competitive FPS games, was launched today. The XL2420TX is the successor to the XL2420T gaming monitor, which BenQ had launched in March. Featuring a 24" Full HD panel, the new monitor has been co-developed by ZOWIE GEAR. It supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The XL2420TX features various tools such as Black eQualizer (which enhances contrast for dark scenes in games), FPS Mode (which changes the brightness, sharpness, and colour tint specifically for FPS games), Display Mode and Smart Scaling. The monitor also comes with an inbuilt 3D IR emitter, which makes it compatible with the NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 glasses for 3D content. It also conforms to the latest HDMI 1.4a spec.

The XL2420TX comes with an S Switch, which is a remote controller with three preset buttons. The S Switch allows you to customise and save your display settings for different purposes — like gaming, work, and movies.

Important for gamers, the 120 Hz refresh rate ensures smoothly rendered graphics; besides, this refresh rate is required for a display to be compatible with NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 technology.

The Display Mode and Smart Scaling features allow gamers to change between monitor screen sizes from 17" (4:3), 19" (4:3), 19" Wide (16:10), 21.5" Wide (16:9), 22" Wide (16:10), 23" Wide (16:9), to 24" Wide (16:9), and to manually scale the screen to any custom size.

The XL2420TX monitor is priced at Rs 31,000. We'll soon be reviewing it to find out if it's worth that much!
