Lava Releases Android 2.3 Iris N320; Budget Dual-SIM Handset Costs Rs 4000

Features a 3.2" screen, 1 GHz CPU, 256 MB of RAM, and a 2 mp camera.

A few weeks ago, Lava entered the budget smartphone segment with its Iris N350. The company has added another cellphone to its Android potfolio — the N320. Much like its sibling, the N320 features Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It's powered by a 1 GHz CPU, and has 256 MB of RAM. The low RAM explains why Lava decided not to go with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). For photography, the phone is equipped with a 2 mp camera. Here's the complete list of features:

  • 3.2" multi-touch capacitive screen.
  • 2 mp camera with LED flash.
  • 1 Ghz CPU, 256 MB of RAM.
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, EDGE, No 3G.
  • 100 MB of internal storage, MicroSD card support up to 32 GB.
  • Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread).
  • Dual-SIM, Dual-band GSM (900 / 1800 MHz).
  • Radio FM (with recording), Orientation sensor, Proximity sensor.
  • 1400 mAh battery.
  • 4.5" (l) x 2.4" (w) x 0.5" (12 mm), 115 grams.

The specs aren't impressive, but you can't expect much more for Rs 4000. You can order one here. There's a similar phone, the Intex Aqua 3.2, for about the same price.
