HTC Launches Desire 820G+ At Rs 19,990

With a high-price, the mid-range smartphone might find it hard to compete against the Chinese smartphones.

Taiwanese smartphone company HTC has recently launched its Desire 820G+ in India at Rs 19,990 after launching it in its home country Taiwan back in early-June.

Speaking about the technical specifications of the smartphone, the HTC Desire 820G+ features a 5.5 inch HD display with 720x1080 resolution while it is powered by a true octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz with mali-450MP4 GPU.

The device comes with a 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory while it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense UI 6.0 on top of it.

The smartphone has accelerometer, proximity sensor and compass.

The Desire 820G+ comes with a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a BSI sensor while the front camera comes with a 8 MP snapper for better selfies. Along with this, the dual-front facing BoomSouind speakers remind us of the last year's Desire 820.

It looks like ever since the HTC's mid-range smartphone Desire 820 proved to be popular in India, the Taiwanese smartphone maker has been launching its variations in the form of Desire 820Q, Desire 820G, Desire 820S and now, Desire 820G+.

However, once again HTC has priced its mid-range smartphone quite high and considering the Chinese smartphone outburst, buyers are likely to get better specifications with prices very friendly to the pockets. This means that HTC Desire 820G+ will have a hard time competing against best sellers like OnePlus One, Xiaomi Mi4, Asus Zenfone 2 and the newly launched Samsung J7.
