Dual SIM Nokia Lumia 530 Variant Shows Up At The FCC

Apparently the handset comes in more than one variant and seems to be headed to Australia and Thailand.

Its Nokia leaks everywhere this week; a good indication that a few Windows Phone handsets might be launching soon. While the RM-1020 variant of the Lumia 530 passed certification in Thailand on Tuesday and it has now shown up at the FCC for the same. The handset as it stands is bound for Australia and Thailand for now.

The other variant of the Lumia 530 has been tagged as the RM-1017 and the 1018. While the RM-1017 has shown up online in leaks just recently and may be the international version, the 1018 as leaked earlier is headed for US carrier T-Mobile.

The handset that made it to the FCC shows a dual SIM functionality as can be seen from the two IMEI numbers for the device in the certification chart. Clearly this is the younger sibling to the Lumia 630 which had shown up in an earlier leak online, appearing in a Windows Phone buying guide.

Microsoft surely has an exciting few months ahead, with plenty of announcements to make, single-handedly building its portfolio of devices for the Windows Phone market.
