XOLO Delivers Android KitKat Update For The Q1010

The company seems to be hell bent on delivering KitKat to its handsets all of a sudden.

XOLO has announced the Android KitKat firmware update for its recently launched Q1010 handset. The Indian smartphone manufacturer had promised an upgrade to Android KitKat, when it launched the smartphone back in February this year and seems to have kept its word by delivering the same.

The update brings all the goodness of Android KitKat with some XOLO customizations including restyled status and navigation bars, coloured emoji, cloud print support and a refreshed camera UI. There is also a new dialer which allows you to search for contacts straight from the dial pad.

XOLO’s KitKat update is currently not available as an OTA package so you will have to download the 316 MB and follow the installation instruction from the website. If you are too lazy to do all of that you could simply head to the nearest service centre and get your phone updated to the same.

The update comes soon after the recently launched Q1010i handset form XOLO got upgraded to Android KitKat. Moreover, XOLO seems to have adhered to Google’s updated OEM policies of delivering nothing but the latest Android software version with new handsets killing software fragmentation at its roots.
