Huawei's Much Awaited Mulan Includes A Fingerprint Scanner

Seems like Apple kick-started a tradition with its Touch ID.

Huawei’s long rumoured smartphone is back in the news again as China’s equivalent of Facebook, Weibo has helped the leak of first images of the handset. There are just four photographs which clearly show the handset in full view, revealing the fingerprint sensor on the back.

The photographs reveal a handset which shares a striking similarity with the GALAXY F handset, which is yet to be announced. The Mulan sports what appears to be a shiny metal frame sandwiched between glass on one side and plastic on the other. On the back you will notice the fingerprint scanner which seems to be pulled off from HTC’s One Max (which was a big flop).

As for the specifications of the handset, the Mulan will be powered by Huawei’s all-new silicon, the octa-core Kirin 920 chipset. Inside you will find 4 Cortex-A15 cores and 4 Cortex-A7 cores for the battery-friendly tasks.

On the outside there is a Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixel) display which is fuelled by 3GB of RAM. Also included is a 13MP camera sensor on the back and a large 5MP snapper on the front.
