Google Now Alarm Will Wake You If You Fall Asleep In The Train

You will need to keep your headphones plugged-in though.

Google Now for Android has added the one new feature that most of you would have only dreamed about — a commute alert reminder. Gone are the days where you would be busy gaming or snoring during a long afternoon commute, only to miss the station that you were supposed to get off from.

Google Now, the Android voice-assistant will now alert you when you are near the station or bus stop where you are supposed to alight. Of course, you will have to search for that location or destination on your phone at least once; or should have the navigation turned on, in order for Google to know that you are heading there.

What is more important is that you should have your headphones plugged in. This is especially for those who fall asleep during train journeys because the alert is basically an auto set reminder that will buzz when you near your destination.

Whether the feature is indeed handy one or not, is something that would depend upon how frequently you use Google Now (especially while travelling). Will such alerts get in the way of your daily schedule? Or are you simply grateful that Google read your mind. Let us know in the comments below.
