Samsung GALAXY S5 Prime And GALAXY S5 GPe Edition Show Up On Bluetooth SIG’s Official Listings

After getting a full view of the phone, we now get some more news confirming the existence of the rumoured flagship.

Bluetooth SIG’s website is definitely not the place to begin your search when you go hunting for unannounced devices; but apparently now it is. Samsung has been denying the existence of a QHD specd premium GALAXY S5, but rumour after rumour, it appears that the device not only exists but will see a launch pretty soon.

The GALAXY S5 Prime (SM-G906L) as we all refer to it now, showed up on the Bluetooth SIG’s certification page along with the Google Play Edition (GPe) of the recently launched Samsung GALAXY S5. The document that is available for everyone to see, does not show much but certainly indicates that the device is in production and will soon see a release.

The GPe GALAXY S5 which had also briefly made its appearance as a listing on Google’s Play Store is also currently listed on the website as the SM-G900FG.

We recently saw the first leaked images of the GALAXY S5 Prime, the device is said to bring a Snapdragon 805 / Exynos SoC, 3GB RAM, 16 MP camera and will run Android 4.4.3. Let’s just hope that Samsung announces it at its GALAXY Premiere 2014 event next month as many buyers will be holding on to the GALAXY S5 purchase for this year.
