LG G3 Rumoured To Come With A Snapdragon 805 Processor

Coupled with the rumoured QHD display, we think LG has a winner.

The latest insider information reveals that the LG G3 may actually come with a Snapdragon 805 SoC. If this rumour turns out to be true, the LG G3 will indeed be the undisputed king of the ring when it comes to this year’s flagship smartphones.

Even if you do not choose to believe the insider news, we do recall that Qualcomm did make a small announcement that we would see the first Snapdragon 805 chipsets appearing in handsets by May 2014.

LG as it now seems simply wanted to put in the best silicon available and simply did not want to compromise on horsepower and quality this time around. The waiting game that we all saw LG play by delaying its flagship’s announcement, was simply because they had to wait for Qualcomm to push out these high-end chipsets. Everything that LG did, now makes perfect sense.

The same insider claims that LG will be going all out when it comes to specs and design. The LG G3 will sport a 5.5 inch QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution display along with the Snapdragon 805 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The camera unit will also be similar to the OnePlus One’s Sony sensor which is a 13MP unit with an f/2.0 aperture. The device will come with 32GB of internal memory which will be expandable as well. The battery is said to be a 3200mAh one which will be coupled with some new battery saving technology. All of the above will be tightly packed into a fingerprint-resistant polycarbonate shell and will still make space for a removable battery.

The LG G3 sounds like a pretty high-end device and certainly one that is worth waiting for. But you won’t have to wait for long; since LG’s G3 global launch event happens as early as the 27th of May; which is just a couple of weeks away.
